Great Friends

We had the most wonderful time last night with our long lost friends from Walla Walla, Washington! Mike and Tracii were able to jet down to Sweet Home for the evening after Ellie's softball tournament. Great food, lots of laughter and catching up! We sure do miss you guys!

Yeah for Good Friends!!

My really, really good friend Lisa phoned me up one day to tell me about this sweet little farm table she found on Craigslist. The table needed some TLC...well, alot I guess according to her dad....but nonetheless she was tickled. Not another thought about it entered my mind till I saw it in our favorite trash to treasure haunt here in town...all fixed up!! Next time I'm going to pay more attention to her! Thankfully, I snapped it up before any of our other junking friends saw it! It's going to be perfect on my back porch! Thanks Lisa!

Do you know where your boys are?

Shhhhh....it's 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon....do you know where your boys are? I do! Mine are all sleeping!!

Ryan enjoyed his first all nighter with no sleep at the school's achievement award trip...

Jarid went along too...fully intending to sleep, but little did he know achievement award trips are also known as "All fun and No sleep" trips...

Bret too joined the fun at his youth group all night party! He did make it home by midnight...but then had to get up at 6am for work....

And Mike...well, Mike was just flat tired.

Did You Hear The News?

Did you hear that the City of Sweet Home has been named the city with the BEST DRINKING WATER in the State of Oregon?! Way to go honey! If you are ever meandering through our little neck of the woods, feel free to stop by for a long cool drink!

We've Come A Long Ways Baby!

I love my home. I love the feel, the warmth, the colors, the smells (well, sometimes), the laughter, the joy...I just love it. I tell Mike at least once a week how much I adore this place. Quite the opposite of how I felt when we first bought it...

There were many, many tears throughout the FIVE year remodel of this house. Thank goodness for daddies who love their little girls! If it wasn't for my favorite father-in-law, we'd still be living in the middle of dust! But thanks to him, we now have this...

There is still so much to do! Take a look at my creative ramblings for a few of my favorite things!

No Easter Bunny?

Who said there was no Easter bunny? Who said we were too old for hunting eggs? Mike and I and my brother Jay and his wife Kellie hid over 400 plastic eggs for our kids to hunt for. The older ones weren't too keen on it, but they finally let their guard down and had fun....of course, all the candy certainly helped with motivation. It was a great day...but boy am I amazed how fast they all are growing!

Oh Baby of Mine....

Once our little bundle of joy, now a rockin' 16-year old who makes the girls' heart twitter-twitter! Bret is a member of the City of Sweet Home Police Cadet program. After months of training, paperwork and ride-alongs, he FINALLY gets to put the uniform on! I did okay until I saw the bullet-proof vest. Yikes! My sissy-in-law gave me the BEST advice though on Easter Sunday...."it's time for you to grow up too". Oh boo-hoo.

You are the Lint to my Belly Button....

I absolutely love this little saying I found in a book. Love it so much that I've made it a permanent (for now) fixture on our chalkboard. Every time I'm in the pantry across the hall, waiting for my popcorn to pop, I take a moment to read it and think of Mike and each of our kids along the way....

Adams Family Saga

Hello and Goodbye. I'm leaving the world of Facebook. Sad, but true. The hours I have spent reading how many times somebody had scrambled eggs for dinner or how many fishes were won in the fish game made me realize that I have been trying to keep up with the pace of everyone else's life while leaving mine behind. Facebook is a great tool for mass communication....once known as email....but I think a software I could probably live without.....until of course I need to get the word out....cause I KNOW some of you got to my blog through my announcement on Facebook - tee-hee! I'm sure I'll sneek a peek every now and then. After all, it wouldn't be fair to NOT know what my friends are up to!

This blog will serve as a chronicle of our lives for our personal enjoyment. If you enjoy peeking/spying in on our lives, please do so. I welcome an occasional comment, especially any that would be complimentary!
